Our team has just returned from ITB in Berlin where our new Samsung UE46a Video Wall put in its' first appearance on the Canada Tourism Commission stand. Supplied in 3 x 3 configuration, the wall was driven by a simple laptop with HDMI output and a blu-ray drive. The photos below were taken by the on-site guys using their iPhone.

Our Samsung Video Wall will next be in service at the forthcoming Wire + Tube exhibition in Dusseldorf, 26th - 30th March, so it's really starting to earn its keep!

We have just introduced the Hetec V-Switch Quad to our rental stocks

The  V-Switch quad simultaneously displays the video signals from four analog or digital computers or video sources (up to 1920 x 1200 resolution) on a single screen. In addition, these computers can be controlled with just one keyboard and mouse or a single touch screen. V-Switch quad is a Quad-Video Multiviewer and a KVM switch in one device.

With its various viewing modes, the V-Switch quad has a number of features that make it suitable for use as a video wall controller:

In Quad mode, the multiviewer splits the screen into four fields of equal size. Each field displays the entire screen content of a video source or computer.  

When the PiP (Picture in Picture) function is activated, up to all three other video sources are displayed on the right-hand side of the full-screen image as thumbnails, allowing them to be monitored simultaneously. Size, position and selection of these thumbnails are customizable. In the new Triple Tile mode, the Multi-Window Video-Processor automatically resizes the active channel and the PiPs to display all channels as large as possible without overlap  

In Dual mode, the Multi-Viewer displays the left halves of the fullscreen images from two video sources side by side at full size. This allows e.g. to read  even small written text in full resolution and brilliant quality in each of the left halves.

In Fullscreen mode, one of the four video sources is shown at full screen size and maximum resolution.

We shall soon have stocks of our new LED Video Walls. Using the new 46" panels from Samsung, these video walls have an ultra-thin bezel (just 10.2mm between content), full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and the low power consumption and weight that the LED technology offers.

We're hoping that the new Video Walls will be in stock in time for Mobile World Congress, and at the very latest for ITB Berlin. 

And the best bit ? They're lower cost than the NEC panels we currently use, so we can pass on the savings by way of lower rental fees.
